What an honour to have the Killin’ Time Band performing at the ONE event !! Thank you!!

Wednesday, Marh 12th

These guys are not only some seriously talented musicians, they are also no stranger to charity and stepping up to the plate to support the community! The more I learn about this band, the more I am impressed with everything they stand for! It’s very obvious they love what they do and what makes them even more special is that they are committed to insuring that their revelry can also have a positive effect on the community.
They are taking time to support & perform at ONE and if you look at their website, one of the first things that stands out (besides their new album release) was another charity event they are supporting for a 3 yr old girl facing her own battle with cancer. My eyes were not dry and I was completely inspired!! Killin`Time Band members, the world needs more people like you! Readers, I encourage you to check out their page and find out more.
The Killin` Time Band are proud to be unveiling their newest album on April 20th at The Boston Manor which they have been working on for 2 years, in addition to, sharing their music and helping good causes! They are very excited to perform it for you with special guest sand their  9 piece band!

Please join us March 28th at Spencer’s to have all of your senses stimulated! ONE promises to make your ears happy with the sounds of the talented Killin’ Time Band while your eyes will be in awe of the works of art our photographers have created !

270 Sherman – You Shoot, You Score!!

Sunday, Jan. 20th

If walls could talk, the ones at 270 Sherman in Hamilton would have many to tell!  From the days where it operated as a cotton mill back in the early 1900s, to present day where artists, photographers, sculptors  and many other creative professionals work their craft and are inspired here on a daily basis.  Many shows are filmed here too – just think Bomb Girls!  The feeling you get when you walk in, is an overwhelming sense of respect and intrigue.
The ONE Team met with the Photographers on site at 270 Sherman and took a tour of the shoot location.  Originally we were going to keep this all under wraps and let them figure it out on the big day but we decided to open it up and get them all excited….mission accomplished! We all toured the undisturbed 3rd floor Mill; the shoot site for the ONE competition.  The original huge windows beamed in natural light as we all cruised around in awe.  The old lockers with the pipes running right under to keep the workers feet warmed and the Cirque du Soleil style ribbons that hung from the 20 foot ceilings had my imagination in overdrive.  Our Photographers scattered; all getting ideas & inspiration for the big day (and the winning shot).  What an absolutely incredible place!

Doll Haus Boutique Gets ONE Model all Dressed Up for Breast Cancer Support !!

Saturday, Jan. 19th

The ONE Team & Model headed in to Doll Haus Co. on Brant St. in Burlington in search of that perfect outfit for the grand photo shoots.  We were looking for that one piece that displayed beauty, elegance & simplicity.  It had to, not only, look stunning for the pictures but we also wanted to make sure that the infamous Pink Ribbon representing Breast Cancer Support Services would stand out & shine in the pictures.
As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Alyssa from the Doll Haus Team.  She was extremely helpful and had recommendations all ready for us.  She instantly pointed to the mannequin and said that`s the one we think would work``.  Their choice was absolutely the right ONE.  Alyssa told us to choose whatever we liked and they would donate it for this cause.  We looked around and quickly agreed, they know fashion and their pick was it!  Chins are going to drop and the photographs are going to be amazing, thank you so much to Doll Haus Boutique for their generous contribution!   Their donation will help make this event a success! As a side note, Kim couldn't help but shop while she was there; the clothes are gorgeous & hot! "I know where I'm getting my gala dress!"

Our visit to Photo Media Decor

January 14, 2013

Today Derrick and Chris had the honor of meeting Jesse Roberts, sales and marketing director at Photo Media Decor. We were thrilled to take a tour of their amazing facility and in awe at how many products and services they had to offer.  P.M.D. will be transforming our  photographers photo's into 42" x 42" works of art that will be on display and up for silent auction at our Gala event  at Spencer's Landing on March 23, 2013. We are ecstatic to have Photo Media Decor as one of our premier sponsors and look forward to seeing the finished products!

On Monday January 14, I had the pleasure of meeting Derrick Vanderkolk and Chris Sakai from ONE photo contest and fundraiser for Breast Cancer Support Services.  This is a very unique photography contest bringing back the artistry of film photography.  There will be no digital edits and previews and the contestants will be forced to dig back to the way photography used to be and trust their artistic abilities and gut instincts.  We are very excited to be a part of this great event as the print sponsor and will be showcasing the prints as true art pieces that I’m sure will be a crowd pleaser!  The works of art will be displayed and up for auction at the Gala event on March 23, 2013 at Spencer’s Landing in Burlington.  I’m looking forward to seeing what the contestants shoot.  Good luck!  Jesse Roberts - Sales and Marketing - Photo Media Decor
